After watching the new Showtime series, Years of Living Dangerously (watch the premiere now:  Season 1 Episode 1, I thought I should make note of rCards being as green as possible!  🙂  I am always looking for new paper that is high quality and Forest Stewardship Council certified.

Currently, our paper comes from mills that practice responsible, sustainable forestry as certified by objective 3rd parties. Much of our product is created using renewable energy sources, such as hydro power or wind power.

Our entire line of cards, envelopes and practice writing cards is produced without elemental chlorine (PCF). Our printers operate with reduced volatile organic pigment and the toner complies with all applicable rules and regulations under TSCA.

In order to maintain the high quality of our images, they are printed on a 247gsm glossy paper, with an extra backing paper that is 300gsm. The backing paper is recycled with 10% post consumer content.  The glossy paper is FSC certified, but does not have any recycled content.   It’s also acid free and is manufactured with wind power.

“People need to see what’s gone wrong and they have to be exposed to the mechanisms that can help make it right.” -Harrison Ford from Years of Living Dangerously, S01E02.
